Increase in Interim Management Assignments Due to Covid

Probably there is indeed an increase due to the strong external circumstances of Covid. I am reminded of the famous quote on leadership/management: "Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm". We have it on the 12manage mouse pads for years.
Whether hiring an interim manager is a good idea depends on many things. An important one is the board's (top management's) view towards the severity and length of the situation. Do they believe we are looking at a new normal, or is Covid-19 "just" a long, severe, but still temporary phase?
