Hi Aruna, I smiled when I saw your post. I have been there before and it can be difficult to deal with the ICT world. If you understand the business, you can provide better services. I developed the concept of Occupational Streaming for IT Professionals in BC (Canada) for the public service. Line management and professionals can help you set up the system. Do not be afraid of the acronyms - Once you understand the similarities and differences between jobs it should help. I used the following job groups: - Executives, management, specialists (i.e. DBA), Professionals (BA, PA), Technical (network analyst, programmer), Operational or Administrative, and Support.
