Code of Ethics for Public Servants Essential
S.Medagama
Introduction of code of ethics for public servants is essential. The compliance to COE should be made obligatory. Strict disciplinary measures are to be taken against those who violate it. And this should be transparent too.

Ethics Oath for Public Servants
Bantwal Prabhu, Teacher, India, Member
It is mandatory in many developed countries for the heads of state, ministers, top officials etc. to take an oath to serve the public.
But very few ethics oaths are serious and implemented in practice, since violation of such oath is not made punishable in public, except in a few countries of the middle east.
Very severe punishment can open the eyes of everyone for change to take place and a transformation takes place in time for a better quality of life, particularly in the developing countries.
