Is it possible to use the Model by Hofstede on a company? What I am looking for is a model to give insight in how a company currently works, the company culture. I might add some other things to the 5 dimensions. I want to compare this to a few other types of companies, and 'determine' if they are compatible. Basically I want to compare companies and know in which way they are run. Hello Chris!
Yes with a little tweaking you can adapt Hofstede's dimensions to a corporate structure well. YouŽll just have to imagine the parameters within a corporate culture, e.g. "masculinity" that is applicable on leadership issues, "power distance" to governing structure etc.
It is quite similar phenomenon both in macro and micro environments!
