				                Mintzberg and Greiner

													What is the difference between the model of Mintzberg and the one of Greiner? You can't really compare these:

- Mintzberg gives you certain way's to define your organizational configurations. It's meant for typing your company.

- Greiner is specificly interested in growth of organizations, without being interested in the characteristics....

													I agree with Maikel's answer with one addition, our research indicates you can integrate the 2 models because organizational structure to some degree is a function of the growth stage - example direct supervision for phases 1 and 2 to adhocracy for phase 6.

We have been working on this for the last few years and find a strong correlation between stage and structure.
