Leadership Training Workshop
One simulation that might be helpful is the Flying Starship Factory. This allows participants to learn in a very hands-on way about many of the skills Rafiudeen mentions. At first blush, it's 'manufacturing' context may be off-putting to a group of social service volunteers, though if set up properly could prove a fun and interesting learning experience perhaps because its orientation. But fyi. (full disclosure: I have recently purchased the simulation, but have not had a chance yet to try it out--so I am speaking from what I have read and not from my personal use of the game. But I do have great respect for the creators of the simulation).
