How to Assess Your Own Leadership Style?

	          		Did Goleman, Boyatzis and McKee provide a test to assess your own leadership styles out of the six mentioned?

Are there any other similar leadership style self-tests?

				                How to Assess your Leadership Style?

													I'm strongly familiar with the work of Daniel Goleman, Richard Boyatzis and Annie McKee; I've worked with all three.

One answer (which I support) is that self assessment of your own leadership style (which essentially means leadership behavior) can never be accurate. The reasoning for that notion is that unconsciously any person would complete the assessment questions, etc., to build a picture of what that individual would like to be, or what that individual thinks would be acceptable to / or would impress others.

IMHO the most accurate such assessment comes from the combined assessments of the staff who report to or surround the specific leader.
