Systems Approach to Understanding Behaviour in Orgs

Viable systems shows a clear link between management policies & planning; operations; audit and communications and how these are influenced by the external environment.
The other methods provide analysis through stakeholder considerations. Identification of individual systems within an organisation can open up greater understanding of the links and gaps within that organisation. Also they can help highlight cultural issues and offer new insights regarding how efficient the organisation is.
To discover what systems can truly do as a methodology, one needs to learn the methodology and apply it in an iterative manner in order to gain the most from what it has to offer.
