How can we evaluate the accuracy of a feasibility study or even a business plan that has been prepared by another company?

Are the Conclusions of a Feasibility Study Correct?
Yes! Good question… How do you know if the recommendations of a feasibility study from a third party are in fact correct? Some ideas:
- Select a trusted third party.
- Participate yourself in the study.
- Have someone participate in the study whom you trust.
- Ask for periodic updates during the study.
- Pay particular attention to the assumptions and goals of the study. If they are missing then that's a red flag. If they are there, are they complete? And are they correct?
- Take a few samples to check the main conclusions.
- You might ask a second opinion (in particular if the study is really important). See also: Strategy Analysis.
