In an era of globalization cultural intelligence (CQ) becomes important. This does not mean adopting other people's culture but accommodating the culture of people in the official as well as personal network and having regards for different cultures. This aspect of CQ is not only inherited from our own society, culture, religious beliefs and upbringing, but can also be developed. We have noticed that people having traveled around, studied or worked with people from different culture and countries are having much better cultural adaptability and acceptability among the other culture. -- Do in Rome as the Romans do -- highlights the concept of cultural adaptability beautifully.
The CQ as pointed out by Mr. Ranjan helps to generate a colorful tapestry - of a myriad hues - appealing both to thee ye and the mind. However, one must be 'mature' enough to 'see' to what point s/he can adapt, adopt and become adept in accepting cultural differences.
