Identify Competencies First

I find the leadership pipeline a useful model to identify the leadership and management competences required at the respective levels.
I am trying to identify firstly the overall leadership and management competencies required, along with the levels of competence at each transition. It then starts to make sense in terms of a strong development tool.

Indentifying Leadership Competencies

@Anton Verwey: Not too sure whether I came back to you on this, but I would be very interested to see some of the models you have built. I realise that there is IP attached to them, so will understand if you are unable to share here. I believe that we need to take a much closer look at the whole leadership issue, particularly in light of some of the disasters that have occurred in business over the past decade. Look forward to hearing from you.
