Integrating the Core Competence

Having identified the core competence of the organisation, the real challenge - particularly in knowledge intensive organisations - lies ahead in integrating it with the competences of its people so as to enhance the overall organisational capability; which ultimately should result in rendering competitive advantage to the organisation.

Build Image and Brand Name

Companies should really do serious soul searching to come up with a core competence that can be sustained for a period of 3 to 5 years. This would allow the company to build up their image and brand name acting on this identified CC.
