Good leaders are dedicated to lifelong learning & seeking continuous improvement in their companies. They also seek it for themselves. Leaders recognize that competition between businesses is a race for competence mastery, market position & power.
A goal for leaders/ management should be to focus attention on competencies that really affect competitive advantage, since it may not be possible to focus on all activities & competencies of a business.
