Components of Knowledge Sharing Systems
The main components of knowledge sharing systems in organisations are human, organizational components and data processing tools:
- Human components are top, middle and lower managers who are acting in order to do the mapping of experts, to share and codify the knowledge. For example within communities of practice and in workshops. Professionals of knowledge management are the Chief Knowledge Officer, Chief Learning Officer, Intellectual Capital Director... (Berdugo 2003).
- For the organizational components human resources need to be motivated, they need recognition from the dg and must act within groups dedicated to knowledge management.
- For the data processing tools, we can mention intranets, push technologies, web portals, data mining, internal wikis, relational databases (taxonomy by Tyndale 2002).
