Is Management the Sister of Politics?
AQEEL RAZA, Accountant, Pakistan

It is not wrong to argue that management is the sister of politics because of following reasons:
- Management is guiding politics to plan its objectives.
- Both politics and management have a similar goal; in business, the achievement of profit. And in politics profit and fame are important too.
- The management principle P+O+S+D+C works in politics too as a politician uses Planning to Organize his party to deal with the issues, the organization requires people, and these persons need Directing and Controlling.
- In politics, the authority and responsibility have to be delegated. Delegation of authority and responsibility is the part of management.
- Fayol’s 14 principles of Management do apply on politics.
- The political leader is just like the principal of a business who has the final responsibility for all the activities. 7-2-2018
