In many developing countries, particularly in Africa, there are lots of idle resources. In these parts of the world, business can be lucrative if it is modeled based on resources that are locally available.
Knowledge about what can be made out of these resources using simple technology can be a good basis to start.

Can Business Models in Developing Countries Be Based on Use of Idle Resources

Hi Kiweewa, I'm sure there are many idle business resources in Africa. However I wonder what the cost of those resources are compared to local incomes or does your assumption rely on outside investment?

Mobilizing Idle Resources in Africa

The government should give subsidies to encourage the farmers to grow more of their cash crops and also lease land to them at low rates as well as provide farm inputs and equipment on low interest loan.
