What is a Power Brand?

What is meant by a 'power brand'? Is it equal or similar to a super brand?

Definition of a Power Brand

Interbrand defines power branding as:
“A strategy in which every product in a company’s range has its own name which functions independently, unsupported by the corporate brand or other product brand".
Tide is a perfect example of a power brand.

What is a Power Brand???

A 'Power Brand' can be defined as a product/service or a brand that has the ability to penetrate the market on its own without the support of other products or product lines.
I think it's very similar to a super brand if not equal.
