BPR in Agriculture
I would think BPR in the agri industry is definitely a possibility. But you must throw away current processes and practices since they will become an inhibitor to the BPR effort. You must be able to think out of box without current limitations. For example, if people are only used to hoes and shovels and they want to include that in the process it will limit their opportunity for improvement. They will not want to explore what other best practices are out there such as tractors and other machinery that can do the work of hoes and shovels. Same thing for seeds, if they are only thinking about same inefficient method of planting, harvesting and collecting seeds but do not consider industry leading practice of genetic seeds, this will limit radical improvements. I guess I am trying to make a recommendation that you must include both practices and cultures as well as processes.
