BCG Matrix is Not Useful for a Start-up Having Only One Product

How can a company entering the market with one product only, use the BCG Matrix for planning their strategies to promote its product or to compete with competitors having variety of products in the same industry?

Use of BCG Matrix by Start-up Company with a Single Product

Clearly you are right to argue the BCG Matrix is completely useless for start-up companies having just one product. The BCG Matrix is aimed at large corporations having multiple major product lines.
