Balanced Scorecard Generations
I think with your question you are referring to:
- Departmental Balanced Scorecard (1992, 1996). Kaplan and Norton started with the departmental BSC one in their 1992 HBR article "The Balanced Scorecard—Measures that Drive Performance" followed by their 1996 book "The Balanced Scorecard".
- Divisional Balanced Scorecard and Corporate Balanced Scorecard (2000, 2004). Then they continued to the 2 next levels in their 2000 HBR article "Having Trouble with Your Strategy? Then Map It", followed by their 2004 book "Strategy Maps".
- Personal Balanced Scorecard (2003). I believe it was Rampersad who first came up with the idea for a Personal Balanced Scorecard in his 2003 book "Total Performance Scorecard".
