Motivation is an Important Factor in Employee Retention

A number of organisations are finding it difficult to retain key staff members today due to their inability to motivate them towards effective performance.
Where the motivation of employees is very effective, labour turnover is always very low as well as the cost associated with it.
It is normally cheaper to invest in increasing employee motivation / retention strategies than bearing the cost of high labour turnover.

Remuneration is also an Important Factor in Employee Retention

Dear Sir, now that I am reading the interesting matters on employee attrition here, I got the impression that employees never love the jobs, but instead they love the money.
How much they get from the organisation depends on the satisfaction level.
I conclude job satisfaction is directly related to retention of employees. And remuneration helps to increase job satisfaction.
