The Initial Focus of the Strategic Planning Process
I agree with Francis that many a time the planning processes tend to be heavily biased towards individuals who have a lot of influence in the organisation.
Most of the strategic plans that have been created in this way will only benefit that individual stakeholder, but fail to benefit the organisation as a whole.
I am sure most strategic planners know how to plan, but they should set out plans that put the organisation in a strategic advantage first and only then consider individual interests.
