Time Continuum of Behavior Change

I believe that the behavioral theories are still valid and need to be considered. What we don't often take into account is the time frames in which we expect behavioral change to take place. When do the early adopters and late adopters and dropouts appear? I think that with the increased cadence of change we have a greater expectation of that whilst the time frame has been shortened.
