Active Listening is Essential Part of Effective Communication

Active listening is a crucial part of the effective communication process.
Without it, we cannot communicate properly and will either not understand or misinterpret what is being said.
Both of these outcomes are negative and to be avoided. We should therefore pay attention to what is being said (if it is of interest to us).
 

 
Good Listening Leads to Good Understanding

Good listening is state of being silent during hearing to others.
Such a state leads one to understand what the others are saying and meaning.
For example, a good judge will listen to both parties in a law suit concisely and precisely. Thus he will be able to reach a fair verdict (response).
