Integration of Global Aspects in Western Leadership
Greg Johnson, Member
Very interested in how Western based systems of Leadership and Management might work or what barriers does this approach bring to GLOBAL leadership.
I see many management theories being more in a telling mode versus a listening and respecting mode first, and then applying some of the steps mentioned by John Adair's Action-centered Leadership - not all.
But as we are slowly becoming increasingly more global in our business and communications, I think it is critical that we find ways to include a strong element of appreciation of existing cultures and practices in basic human behavior too.
