Integration of Global Aspects in Western Leadership
🔥 I'm very interested in how Western-based systems of leadership and management might work or what barriers these approaches bring to GLOBAL leadership.
I see many management theories being more in a telling mode versus a listening and respecting mode first, and then applying some of the steps mentioned by John Adair's
Action-centered Leadership - not all.
But as we are slowly becoming increasingly more global in our business and communications, I think it is critical that we find ways to include a strong element of appreciation of existing cultures and practices in leadership and in basic human behavior too.
