Definition Venture Funding. Description.
Venture Funding is the round of funding for intended
new, growth businesses, typically following seed funding. Usually provided
by professional, outside investors, called
Venture Capitalists. Generally
made as cash in exchange for shares in a new
Start-up Company, venture capital investments
are usually high risk, but offer the potential for above-average returns.
Venture capital can also include managerial and technical
expertise.
