Decision-making
Decision-making is a cognitive process normally resulting in the selection of a belief or a course of action among several possible alternative options. It should arguably be rational, but is often irrational. The decision-making process is based on assumptions of values, preferences and beliefs of the decision-maker(s). We can distinguish decision-making by a person or by a group of persons.
In businesses, important decision-making and valuation methods and approaches include: behavior and motivation, decision support, goal setting, group decision-making, idea generation and creativity, individual decision-making, problem analysis, problem solving, reasoning and risk management.
