What is your take on the matter?

Dingdong had jus been recognized by his advertising agency for preparing an exemplary ad campaign presentation book for the agency’s top client using desktop publishing software. Dingdong is studying to be a graphic artist in night school and had prepared a model document that could be used with all future clients, Marian, an advertising executive, asked Dingdong to join her at lunch to celebrate and to discuss his “future in advertising”
During the course of the meal, the conversation took an unexpected turn. Marian began commenting on how attractive and sexy she thought Dingdong was and expressed a desire to spend more time with him. Dingdong refused her advances and felt embarrassed. However, Marian continued to make uncomfortable statements and to remind him how the agency could advance an “attractive” employee like him.
The working relationship between Dingdong and Marian deteriorated after the luncheon. Unwelcome suggestions now become common and Marian seemed to wind up around his work are. When they were alone, she playfully winked at him at touched his arm or shoulder. Although Dingdong was certain he was being subjected to sexual harassment, he was hesitant to pursue it any further with his supervisor, the agency’s administrative office manager. Dingdong believe that the office manager actually saw Marian “coming on to him” when he recently walked up on them at the water cooler.
1. Does the scenario constitute grounds for sexual harassment? If so, discuss what action you think Dingdong should take?
2. If you were the office manager and saw the scene at the water cooler, what would you do?
3. Would the situation be any different if the advances had been made by a man to a woman? Explain?
