1-Yes 2- Please see details 3- Done.

Er Ramalingam’s journey in Design For Manufacturability (DFM) started due to his association as an external consultant for manufacturing practices to young CAD Engineers with a CAD design organization during 2006 - by virtue of his expertise in manufacturing, design & engineering product development for over 40 years.
He is blessed to have Dr David M Anderson of design4manufacturability as his mentor for DFM and Dr Anderson has certified him as ‘India’s DFM Expert ‘.
Er Ramalingam has added his own innovations into the western DFM with Asian thinking like Taoism & Arthanarreswar and has come out with his ‘Tao of DFM’, the DFM with simplicity for this complex world in his mission to move DFM from a mere notion to reality.
The output is his first DFM Handbook appreciated both by Dr Anderson for the Simplified Solutions to DFM and by Dr Fritjof Capra of ‘The Tao of Physics ‘ for the Taoist Approach to DFM.
Er Ramalingam, DFM & Innovation Consultant has written the first Handbook on DFM from India, titled as 'Taoist Directions for Design & Development’. It was released by Hon.Deve Gowda, India’s former PM @ Bangalore during the Indian Technology Congress 2014 on 21st August 2014. See It was supported/printed/published by National Research & Design Forum (NDRF) of the Institution of Engineers –India (
He has provided the above book to both the PM & FM.The PM has acknowledged /appreciated this book also.
Of late, Dr Y S Rajan, the popular Scientist and Co-author of 'India 2020 ' by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam has gone through the book and noted that this book will be a guide to India's 'Make-in-India' initiatives.
Encouraged by the above, Ramalingam is coming out with his second book which will also speak on the relevance to ‘Make-in-India’. Having written the primary requirement of a better ‘Design For Manufacturability ‘in his first book, the second book is under process which will guide entrepreneurs and industrialists to obtain more insight into ‘Engineer Manufacturability’. This book is titled ‘Directions for Engineering Manufacturability’. He is presenting the NON-DESIGN as well as BUSINESS aspects of Manufacturability through simpler means and in an implementation-friendly manner to support India's national mission: ‘Make-in-India’ to complement MS Project, ERP, and CRM etc. for Manufacturing Management.
Now the current mission is to form a professional forum for DFM & Manufacturability.
