Establishing and managing co-staff relationship as a Personal Assistant

Work relationship management

Managing relationship is very vital in an organisation. Organisational staff inter-relationship goes a long way in helping both the organisation and individuals grow, hence, a cordial relationship between and among staff of an organisation should always be a priority. A personal Assistant (PA) most times, wields a lot of power as a result of working with a top executive who happens to be powerful in the scheme of organisational management and operations. He (PA) must, however, not misuse this power and privilege by being arrogant and disrespectful to other staff members. Very good working and personal relationships should be created, maintained and managed in order to help the PA secure a bright, unknown and uncertain future. Organisational politics or policies might someday get the executive (PA's boss) out of the organisation. What will be left to sustain him when his boss departs is his relationship with other staff of the organisation.
Although, in some cases, the executive might decide to take his PA with him when leaving the system, but this is not always the case. Organisation's desired goals can only be achieved when all staff work, and are happy working together. And they can only be happy working together if there is good working relationship among them.
