The market conditions govern the negotiating power


Under the unfavourable economic scenario lots of customers demand for a negotiation on the billing rates and the number of people to be billed. Till now the service companies had an upper hand on the prices and the number of people to be billed etc... Now, under the recent scenario the customers have an upper hand and demand for fixed price and insist on lots of unheard of conditions. We come across several articles and attend many courses on Negotiation skills. Is there any real methodology in which the service companies high handedly say these are our prices and so many resources will be working on this assignment? Or the general market conditions overrule the negotiation skills of the Sales force and the services company itself?
