Companies often dish out off the shelf solutions which does not suit the local context nor the the culture of an organisation

One of the key draw backs of globalization is losing sight of local context and organizational culture and processes. I get irritated by some of the big names in the industry ( often applies to multinational organizations) who try to shove some of their so called "tried and tested" systems and methods on their client's. They assume a role of an expert who refuses to be flexible and work on client's terms.
They dish out their off the shelf " solutions" to their clients who have a little say about what . how and when these solutions should be implemented.
However the good news is that the clients are becoming wiser. They can spot the real thing. They are not looking for the star but they are looking for companies and consultants that would offer practical solutions. They are looking for people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work - even get their hands dirty.
So today if you do not hold yourself accountable and responsible for positive results as a consultant, you will be shown the door.
This is true of the Middle East and also true in the case of Asia.
Fortunately names don't count - well I hope it will be that way sooner than later
