Leadership and the nature, culture of the organisation

Although leadership is an inborn charecteristic, and there are different types of leadership styles, a leader must be able to be versatile so that he or she can apply a leadership style that is suitable for the nature and culture of the organisation. A leader must therefore be able to dictate where dictatorship is needed, consult where democracy is needed, be charismatic where charisma is needed. All this helps to ensure that whatever the nature and culture an organisation has, the leader will be able to sail through without any problem. Successful leadership should therefore be a sum of all leadership styles.
