Que é o Innovation Adoption Curve? Descrição

A curva do adoption da inovação de Rogers é um modelo que classifique usuários das inovações em várias categorias. Baseia-se na idéia que determinados indivíduos são inevitàvel mais abertos para a adaptação do que outra. É chame também: Multi-Step Flow Theory ou Diffusion of Innovations Theory.


Curva do adoption da inovação de RogersO foco da pesquisa da difusão tem cinco elementos:

  1. Características de uma inovação que possa influenciar seu adoption;
  2. Processo de tomada de decisão que ocorre quando os indivíduos considerarem para adotar uma idéia, um produto ou uma prática nova;
  3. Características dos indivíduos que os fazem provavelmente para adotar uma inovação;
  4. Conseqüências para indivíduos e sociedade do adotar uma inovação; e
  5. Canaletas de comunicação usadas no processo do adoption.

Categorias do Innovation Adoption Curve

  • Innovators. Povos bravos, puxando a mudança. Os Innovators são mecanismos muito importantes de uma comunicação.

  • Usuários Early. Os povos respeitáveis, líderes de opinião, tentam para fora idéias novas, mas em uma maneira cuidadosa.

  • Maioria Early. Os povos pensativos, cuidadosos mas aceitam a mudança mais rapidamente do que os povos médios.

  • Maioria atrasada. Os povos Skeptic, usarão idéias novas ou produtos somente quando a maioria a está usando.

  • Laggards. Os povos tradicionais, amor à vara “às maneiras velhas”, são críticos sobre idéias novas e aceitá-la-ão somente se a idéia nova se transformar mainstream ou mesmo tradição.

Uso do Innovation Adoption Curve. Prática

A curva do adoption de Rogers para a inovação é útil de recordar que é inútil tentar para convencer a rapidamente e maciça a massa de uma idéia controversa nova. É melhor começar primeiramente com convencer os innovators e os usuários adiantados. Também as categorias e as porcentagens podem ser usadas como um primeiro esboço estimar grupos de objetivo para finalidades de uma comunicação.
