Gestión del Desempeño

La G.D. es un acercamiento estratégico de la gerencia para supervisar cómo un negocio se está desempeñando. Describe las metodologías, las métricas, los procesos, los sistemas y el software que se utilizan para supervisar y manejar el desempeño del negocio de una empresa. La Gestión del desempeño de la unidad de negocio, y la Gestión estratégica del desempeño, y la Gestión del desempeño de la empresa y la Gestión del desempeño de la corporación son todas las variaciones de la misma terminología.


Beneficios del Performance Management (Gestión del Desempeño)

Las principales ventajas del G.D. son:

  • Ayuda a maximizar la creación de valor de forma consistente.
  • Ayuda a aumentar la transparencia de la corporación.
  • Facilita la comunicación con los inversionistas, analistas y con los grupos de interés relevantes para la empresa.
  • Mejora la comunicación interna sobre estrategia.
  • Facilita el mejoramiento de la toma de decisiones.
  • Ayuda a balancear las compensaciones de corto, mediano, y largo plazo.
  • Anima las inversiones creadoras de valor.
  • Mejora la asignación de recursos, aerodinamiza el planeamiento y el presupuesto.
  • Ayuda a mejorar acuerdos en medio de un clima de complejidad creciente y con mayores niveles de incertidumbre y riesgo.
