Niveau Vijf van Leiderschap is gebaseerd op het idee dat respect voor mensen, onbaatzuchtigheid van de leider, en een zeer krachtig commitment om resultaten te bereiken, het beste in ondergeschikten naar boven brengt. Niveau 5 leiders zijn een paradoxaal mengsel van vurige wil en persoonlijke nederigheid. Zij zijn koppig en nietsontziend. Maar toch zijn zij bescheiden. Zij zijn ambitieus voor hun bedrijf, en staan hun ego zelden toe om een hindernis voor het succes van hun organisatie te zijn. Hoewel zij grote dingen voor hun organisaties bereiken, schrijven zij hun opmerkelijke verwezenlijkingen toe aan hun mensen, externe factoren en puur geluk. Niveau 5 Leiders leiden met behulp van gedisciplineerde mensen, gedisciplineerde gedachten en gedisciplineerde actie.
 

De oorsprong van Niveau Vijf Leiderschap. Geschiedenis

De Niveau 5 Leiderschap theorie evolueerde onafhankelijk. Hij werd "ontdekt" door Collins en zijn onderzoekers in bedrijven die een hoog groeiniveau hadden gedurende meer dan vijftien opeenvolgende jaren. Vergelijk: Dienend Leiderschap

De Juiste Mensen (cultuur, karakter eerder dan bekwaamheid) + Nederigheid + Sterke Professionele Wil (betreffende het doel) = Succes.


Gebruik van Level 5 Leiderschap. Toepassingen

Deze methode werkt blijkbaar altijd als deze wordt uitgeprobeerd. Het gaat meer over karakter dan over bekwaamheid. Een hoge bekwaamheid is niet absoluut vereist om succesvol te zijn, maar karakter is van wezenlijk belang.


Stappen in Level (Niveau) 5 Leiderschap. Proces

  1. Huur de juiste mensen in.
  2. Stel hen te werk in de beroepen die zij "van plan zijn" om te gaan doen.
  3. Bepaal een werkelijk hoge doelstelling op lange termijn. (BHAG).

U kunt buitengewone resultaten bereiken, voor de lange lange termijn, en duurzame resultaten .


Beperkingen van Level 5 Leiderschap. Nadelen

  • Het vereist heel wat tijd en persoonlijke investering door de leider.
  • De leider ontvangt geen persoonlijk krediet.

Deze leiderschapmethodologie is opkomend, en is tot nu toe niet uitputtend besproken. Maar hij lijkt zinnig en krachtig.
