Leadership de Niveau 5 - Collins Qu'est-ce que le Leadership de niveau 5 ? Description

Le Leadership de niveau cinq est basé sur l'idée que le respect envers les personnes, l'altruisme du leader, et un engagement fort à atteindre des résultats, mettent en évidence le meilleur des collaborateurs. Les leaders de niveau 5 sont un mélange paradoxal de volonté féroce et d'humilité personnelle. Ils sont têtus et impitoyables. Pourtant ils sont humbles. Ils sont ambitieux pour leur entreprise, et permettent rarement à leur amour-propre d'être un obstacle au succès de leur organisation. Bien qu'ils accomplissent de grandes choses pour leurs organisations, ils attribuent leurs résultats remarquables à leurs collaborateurs, à des facteurs externes et à la chance pure et simple. Les leaders de niveau 5 conduisent les activités à l'aide de personnes disciplinées, d'une pensée disciplinée et de l'action disciplinée.
 

Origine du Leadership de niveau 5. Histoire

La théorie du Leadership de niveau 5 a évoluée indépendamment. Elle a été « découverte » par Collins et ses chercheurs dans des entreprises qui ont eu un haut niveau de croissance durant quinze années consécutives. Comparez : Leadership-Serviteur


Calcul du Leadership de niveau 5. Formule

Les bonnes personnes (culture, tempérament plutôt que compétence) + humilité + volonté professionnelle forte (concernant le but) = Succès.


Utilisation du Leadership de niveau 5. Applications

Cette méthode fonctionne apparemment chaque fois qu'elle est essayée. Elle traite plus du sujet du tempérament que de la compétence. Une compétence élevée n'est pas absolument requise pour réussir, mais le tempérament est non-négociable.


Étapes du Leadership de niveau 5. Processus

  1. Embauchez les bonnes personnes.
  2. Mettez-les aux postes pour lesquels ils sont « prévus » d'être affectés.
  3. Fixez un objectif à long terme vraiment élevé. BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) ou des objectifs très ambitieux.

Vous pouvez réaliser des résultats superbes, à long terme, et des résultats durables.


Limites du Leadership de niveau 5. Inconvénients

  • Il requiert beaucoup de temps et d'investissement personnel du leader.
  • Le leader ne reçoit pas de gloire personnelle.

Cette méthodologie de leadership émerge, et jusqu'ici elle n'a pas été examinée dans le détail. Mais elle semble sensée et puissante.
