Che cosa è la Business Intelligence? Definizione

La Business Intelligence (BI) mira a prendere decisioni economiche migliori attraverso l'utilizzo di una vasta categoria di Sistemi di Gestione Computerizzata, applicazioni e tecnologie per raccogliere, memorizzare, analizzare e fornire l'accesso ai dati. La BI usa informazioni attuali ed esatte per prendere le decisioni.

Attività tipiche della BI

Tipicamente, le attività della BI includono supporto decisionale, domande e reporting, elaborazione analitica online, analisi statistiche, previsioni ed estrazioni di dati. La BI rappresenta quei sistemi che aiutano le aziende a capire cosa rende la società vincente, e contribuisce a predire l'impatto futuro delle decisioni attuali. Questi sistemi svolgono un ruolo chiave nel processo di pianificazione strategica della società.

Applicazioni tipiche di Business Intelligence

I sistemi tipici di BI sono: profilo del cliente, analisi del paniere di mercato, anti riciclaggio, anti frode, analisi del contatto del cliente, segmentazione del mercato, annotazione dei crediti, redditività del prodotto, variazione di inventario così come determinate applicazioni collegate al rischio.
