Purpose of Value Proposition
Shubhankar Otta, India
Generally it's the same as a unique selling proposition. Because a firm would give that statement to the customers by which it can score over other competitors or by that statements it'd try to convey the customers how the product is more valuable than the competitor's product. So, according to me we use it to score points over competitors... or to make our products more saleable.

The Value of a Value Proposition
Robert Amodie, Management Consultant, United States
The real value of a value proposition is realized only after it is fully integrated seamlessly into a company's business model. The companies which achieve consistent, profitable and sustainable growth use the value proposition to continuously influence, shape, filter and validate every component of their business. Otherwise it's simply another superficial, short-term marketing gimmick with no material impact on the success of a company.
