Who can recommend good books about professional organizational storytelling? Thanks...

Books on Storytelling
Schon Beechler, USA
I really enjoyed the book Leadership Presence by Belle Linda Halpern and her colleagues at the Ariel group. They are actors who work with execs on leadership presence and storytelling. I've used them with many clients and their work, and their suggestions are really helpful!

Two excellent resources for business storytelling.
1. The Elements of Persuasion: Use Storytelling to Pitch Better, Sell Faster & Win More Business by Richard Maxwell and Robert Dickman. This work will ground you in basics of passion, hero, antagonist or challenge, the moment of awareness, and the transformation. The medium is oriented towards auditory or word based communication.
2. The Back of the Napkin by Dan Roam. This book teaches story telling as a series of stick figure images that anyone can be taught to easily do. In some cases, you might actually draw the idea (illustrate your story) in front of your audience. This is the low-tech alternative to a build slide.
Putting these two resources together can be very powerful. In fact a company was created to do exactly that; called Epipheo Studios and their two minute story-telling advertisements are very effective.

The Leader's Guide to Storytelling by Denning is a pretty good resource.

Storytelling Book
Nick Snowden, Other, United Kingdom
See new book Storytelling and the Future of Organizations: An Antenarrative Handbook by David Boje:-
His work gives a stimulating alternative perspective to typical storytelling.

I recommend "Tell to Win: Connect, Persuade, and Triumph with the Hidden Power of Story" by Peter Guber.

Recommended Book on Business Storytelling
Ronnie Dunetz, Coach, Israel
I have quite a few books in my own library but I think "The Story Factor" by Annette Simmons is the best and most inspiring.
