Strengths and Weaknesses of Self Appraisal

It must be noted that self-appraisal or self assessment for strengths and weaknesses of the 'self' is hardly done by individuals.
The strengths of the 'self' or of an individual constitutes the attributes or the things the individual has. For instance, the level of improvement in the knowledge that an individual has acquired for himself. Innate skills and abilities also constitute strengths of an individual.
It is also interesting that the strengths are defined with regard to environmental requirements: for instance Ghana has discovered potentially huge hydrocarbon deposits and individuals who have acquired some knowledge and experience in petrochemical engineering will have a huge value as supposed to the situation before the discovery of the hydrocarbons.
Otherwise, self assessed weaknesses are essential for individuals to make amends and put themselves in the position to take advantage of the opportunities that prevail.
