Organizations perform work to achieve their competitive objectives by projects. Projects are failing because of stakeholders. Therefore, stakeholder management is important and it is vital to use an “integrated system” to manage stakeholders and answer their needs and expectations together.
There are some tools and techniques to identify them and making a list of prioritized stakeholders. Based on your experience, which stakeholder type(s) is the most important to the project? Is there any recognized system to manage stakeholders?

We have a rather good way to take care about stakeholder management, starting from a proper stakeholder analysis template with splitting up primary and secundary stakeholders, and properly write down their respective expectations. A good stakeholder analysis results in a well-manned steering committee.

The first step toward discovering all the requirements shall be to understand who all the stakeholders are, what roles they are expected to play, how much involvement they need to have, and how committed they are to the project. Next the project leader defines the organization of the project team and outlines stakeholders’ roles and responsibilities. All stakeholders who will be involved in some capacity on the project should be identified.
One of the greatest challenges in project management is getting the work done by individuals and business units that do not report to the project leader, or even to the project leader’s entire chain of command. The earlier you can identify whom you need cooperation from, and the more detail you can provide as to the extent and outcome of that cooperation, the better your chances of actually influencing the work to be done.
