The Virtue of Loyalty in Business

Loyalty is the base of all relationships and the base of how we behave toward each other; it is a code of conduct and a code of living for those who believe in living free.

Its importance lies in how we perceive ourselves, in terms of happiness, beliefs and work behavior. It is the symbol of how ideal, and almost perfect we like to see our world through our actions. It is a key part of the morality we represent and stand for in our daily lives. It is the righteous way of living, at least to most or some of us.

Loyalty is also the simplest guide possible to create a successful business, work environment or relationship. We hope to generate loyal customers, but better yet we inspire employees to protect and defend their work environment and relationships creating the happiness we seek through the beliefs we live by.

In case of good times loyalty is considered an asset in the corporate world and part of a healthy culture, and in bad times it is even more crucial to the business because it prevents and protects from external attacks.

People in management should consider Loyalty a part of their culture, cultivate its capabilities and create the difference that will set their businesses apart from the rest.

As one quote by Anurag Prakash Ray says: “If they stand by you during the bad and worst times, they surely and definitely deserve to be by you during the good and healthy times”. No quote has ever been written out of noting, everything comes from the experience lived. This simply reflects the Loyalty, where people have understood your situation and the condition your business was going through, still they stood by you and did not seek other opportunities, where they could have easily done that, and the way you repay them is to reward them during the good times.

Such fundamental fact and truth should not be forgotten, where do we end without loyalty? A powerful deed everyone should believe and practice.

Believing in Loyalty as the cornerstone of life, preserving their pride, respect and integrity, inspiring your skilled and knowledgeable employees, retaining them will not only enhance your and their social lives, but will also create the necessary bond and strengthen your business because you have trusted people going to the edge of the world for you.

In summary, Loyalty is valuable and rare, so “Never push a loyal person to the point where they no longer care”.
