Combine Process Modeling with Systems Theory
Melio Saenz, Director, Ecuador

Process modeling must be used together with general and complex systems theory to get very interesting results. Vision formulated from a system's point of view is more objective and closer to the reality and needs of the organization.

Process Modeling Tools
Piero Mella, Teacher, Italy
Two powerful and effective conceptual tools for the process modeling according to the theory of dynamical systems are Systems Thinking, disclosed by P. Senge, and System Dynamics (SD), founded by J. W. Forrester. In the system dynamics approach simulations can be done with one of the many commercial software on the market: ithink, powersim, vensim and other.
For Italian readers I point out my most recent volume: P. Mella, Control Systems, published (in Italian) by Franco Angeli, Milano, 2011.

Modeling and Simulation Forum
Melio Saenz, Director, Ecuador
We can think about process modeling but we need to define reality in a convenient way to evaluate our models with applied simulation. How can we apply Forrester theory to built a reference reality?
