Six Hats Great for Teaching at University
JOAQUIN Maruy, Professor, Peru

I am using a modified version of the 6 thinking hats when teaching at the university. And it works very well. The students are not afraid of saying things because they are just playing a role...

6 Hats with Students
Schircks, Arnulf, Dr. , Business Consultant, Switzerland
My Vietnamese MBA-students (120 in 3 years) in Saigon - coming from all big Vietnamese universities - where using this method also for their written examination successfully.
They had to report on their projects with all hats, not just the white. The outputs where therefore very rich in facts, ideas, suggestions, critique and even personal judgments (opinions).
Blue was used for indicating the logical structure and the summary.

Very good idea, I have to figure out a way of having the students presenting their different hats opinions but saving presentation time.

Teaching Students How to Think
Gary Wong, Consultant, Canada
I applaud all university/college professors and instructors who teach students how to think. I recall too many of my days at school spending memorizing facts and figures. With content so readily available and searchable today via the internet, we can now invest the time preparing our youth how to think factually, creatively, critically, positively, emotionally, and about the thinking itself.
I look forward to reading how others are also teaching thinking skills.
