De-composed Theory of Planned Behavior
Imxan Ahmad, Student (MBA), Malaysia

I heard that there exist an extended version of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in the literature. The name is De-composed TPB. I really want to know the de-composed TPB in details, the limitations and the strengths. I would be obliged if anyone could kindly help me on this matter.

I have found this an endlessly interesting topic as a behavioural coach. I am currently working with 2 client organisations that realise they need to target change in the behaviours of certain personnel in order to effect the change naturally in others. I work closely with people's perceptions of how they have "always" behaved in specific situations, particularly where they have felt under pressure, whether this was actual or perceived. Changing peoples perceptions of existing behaviours based on past experience is very powerful, as by changing their perception of previous experiences and making them aware that they have different options in the way that they can behave, that it is their choice, can be quite a profound discovery for them and can be very reassuring for them and increase their self-confidence.
