Definition Market Perform. Description.
"Market Perform" and "Neutral" are investing
terms used by financial analysts to indicate investments for which the analyst
expects an average result at best.
Because terms such as "Sell", "Reduce", "Underperform" and
"Avoid" are rarely used (to avoid offending potential clients of investment
banks), investors are wise to consider the possibility that "Market Perform"
or "Neutral" are actually euphemisms for situations where is advisable to
get rid of an investment.
