Definition Asian Option. Description.
An Asian Option is a specialized form of an option where the payoff is not determined by the underlying price at maturity, but is connected to the average value of the underlying security over some pre-set period of time.
An Asian Option's strike price is equal to either the lowest underlying security value (call option) or the highest underlying security value (put option) over a period of time that ends on the option expiration date.
